Mr. Yang Tiejun Met WIPO Officials

On November 26, Mr. Yang Tiejun, Deputy Commissioner of SIPO, met Mr. William Meredith, director of WIPO Patent Information and IP Data Department, and held a friendly talk on patent information.

After expressing his welcome to his guest, Mr. Yang said that WIPO has a close cooperation with SIPO in information field, and has given a strong support to SIPO. He wished the two parties to continue their communication and to promote the IP information work.

Mr. William Meredith felt quite grateful for Yang?ˉs meeting, and said that China has enjoyed a rapid development in PCT, and as a result of the development, China also had a good achievement in patent information. He hoped he could deeply study SIPO?ˉs experience in PCT, patent information and machinery translation in this trip, and introduce China?ˉs patent information to the world users.
