Li Yuguang Delivered a Speech at Closing Ceremony of PCT China Conference

In the morning of Dec. 5, WIPO PCT Conference was closed in Beijing. Mr. Li Yuguang, Deputy Commissioner of SIPO, attended the closing ceremony and gave the closing speech.

Li said that we are in a knowledge economic era, while the core of knowledge economy is the IPR. "PCT is one of the effective methods to use the advantage of IP to enforce international competitiveness, and with such a consensus, delegates have made a thorough discussion on the development and future of PCT, and exchanged ideas on how to make full use of PCT from various approaches," Li concluded. He also expressed gratitude to all speakers and delegates for their contribution to the success of this conference.

Officials from WIPO and SIPO, and delegates from many other countries such as Korea, Mongolia, U.S., Vietnam and Cameroon as well as other institutions and enterprises, attended the two-and-half-day-long conference, and had a deep discussion on the latest development of PCT, and experience from enterprises in utilizing PCT system.
